I think I mentioned that a lot of life in Kenya seems to take place by the side of roads. By that I mean that all the roads between bigger towns and cities seemed to be strewn with activity, but rarely anything more than one or two houses deep. These townships thrive by the roadside, and it's clear from the number of stalls, garages and shops in them, that the road provides a significant proportion of a community's income.
(I do get that this is probably true of literally every civilisation, but it seemed even more like that in Kenya. I did ask my Kenyan friends, and they seemed to agree, honest.)
Anyway, this is all my way of saying that I took a bunch of pictures from car (and matatu and tuk-tuk) windows, and here are some of them.
I really do quite miss that place.
